Wild West Water Park, Sioux Falls, SD

Tuesday morning we drove about 3 hours from Albert Lea, MN to Sioux Falls, SD. The weather was great so we decided to take a break from the long drive and "recreate" at the Wild West Water Park outside of town. I had researched this park online before the trip and thought it would be a fun way to break up the day.

Boy was I right! It was not too crowded and the weather was perfect. We did the windy water slides but no one dared attempt the black and white vertical shafts you see above. The slides were awesome fun but it would have been fun to have a few more to choose from. After the slides we tried the bumper boats. Surprisingly, this was a blast because each boat has a squirt gun. When there were 7 or 8 boats going at one time, it was a lot of fun.

After the watery stuff, we tried the lame mini-putt course and ate a quick lunch. The best was saved for last as you can see in the photos below. These go-carts were a real blast and it was tough to pull the kids away from this amusement to sit in the car for another 4 or 5 hours. This was the first time the kids had tried go-carts and they were hooked instantly. These vehicles pull some fun G's going around the corners and passing was a blast, I will say.

Chelsea gives a "thumbs up" to the go-carts

Colin in his fast car lapped everyone in this race
