The Mighty Mountain Goat

My Shadow

I just had to throw in a photo of the majestic mountain goat from the summit of our hike. The second photo was taken as we descended back down into the cirque from the saddle. The angle of the sun was just right for projecting this ridiculously tall shadow. This shot was taken looking down a nice steep face I would be drooling to ski in the wintertime. (Note: We saw one guy carrying his Salomon Pocket Rockets on his backpack. I asked him if he got any turns in and he said it was a 'no-go' due to a tricky runout. There were only small patches of snow here and there. I can only imagine what this area looks like in the winter!)
