Hard to Leave

We only took a handful of photos on our runs this morning but we managed to get a few keepers. As you can see, I'm getting quite the face shot in this picture. That's what the entire tree run was like, aided by the great bumps underneath the 12 to 18" of powder. In these pictures, you get an idea of how humongous these trees really are in here.
These were some of the best turns I've had all year and maybe the best of Colin's life (I'll let him make that call) but the best thing about this morning was seeing the joy on Colin's face after experiencing the best that skiing has to offer. Sharing this kind of experience with him was not something I expected this year. But both Colin and Chelsea have skied more difficult runs than ever before and their skiing ability has gone up to a whole new level now.
Leaving the ski area this morning was incredibly difficult. We just wanted to keep skiing these runs all day. Somehow we mustered the willpower to get in the car and drive away.
'Til next year...goodbye Big Sky.
