March 28th - Big Sky Powder Day

Unfortunately, I did not take any photographs today but we did get quite a bit of good video. You'll just have to wait to see Jim's final DVD product!

The ski area received 3 to 5 inches overnight but then it snowed all day and I think they probably received another 5 to 8 inches! What a difference a day makes. Today, it's back to winter and a chilly wind -- we even needed face masks to stay warm.

Colin and Chelsea skied mostly in the afternoon and they really skied hard on trails called Congo, Wounded Knee and Ambush Glades. Congo was especially great with windblown snow and small moguls through the trees. Footage from Congo will definitely be on the video.
Most of the lifts were closed today due to high winds so tomorrow should be another powder day. When we left the ski area it was still snowing hard so it could be an unbelievable day at Big Sky. Hopefully I'll have a few skiing photos to post.
