March 24th - Morning

And so we begin another week in Big Sky, our other home. After our blissful direct flight from O'Hare to Bozeman, we had a relaxed afternoon in BZN with lunch at the Pita Pit on Main Street and an initial round of grocery shopping at Albertsons. It was a beautiful sunny spring day here, about 60 degrees in town. We drove the meandering canyon road south to Big Sky and marvelled at the flyfishermen dotting the Gallatin. Is this really March?!
Laurie and I enjoyed wine and beer, respectively, on the front deck in the sun all the while enjoying the new Blackfield CD. It really looks like spring around here and there are only patches of snow in the Meadow Village area.
This morning, we woke up early after going to be early and it looks like it's going to be another gorgeous sunny day. We will no doubt need to wait until late morning to brave the hardened slopes. Right about 11:00am or so, we should start to get the nice soft spring conditions forming again for the balance of the day.
Laurie started off the day in the only way we expect -- a cup of hot coffee and a warm laptop on the lap. And I started off with the coffee and a quick update to the blog! Here's an early morning shot of the Spanish Peaks Club condo complex:
Stay tuned...more blogging later today!
