Perfect Winter Day?
Well, 12 days after the nice fall picnic with our parents, the first storm of the year hits Hinesburg. We received 5 inches in a powerful blizzard. I drove through some of the worst conditions I've ever seen coming back home from downtown Hinesburg; it was extremely difficult to see the road at all.A few inches still remain on the ground but it is melting quickly as the afternoon sun is out now. The storm immediately made Colin excited for the holiday season. I had to remind him that we are only 1/3 of the way through fall so far.

Reminds me of our Oct. 26 snowstorm of 2005! Were there lots of branches cracking under the weight of the snow? Hopefully there was some wind to keep it from accumulating on the leaves. Our forest canopy was opened up in a big way under that event last fall. They're predicting a little snow here tomorrow...
