Perfect Fall Day
This was one of those perfect autumn days. Cool and crisp in the morning with the sun slowly warming things up throughout the day. And, of course the leaves were quite nice. But what made this perfect day even more perfect was the visit from not one set of parents but both!! Beverly and Arthur drove from Wareham, MA in the morning and Mom and Dad arrived just before them.
There was some discussion of the big Notre Dame football game Arthur had just attended, the Ohio State game Dad had just seen, Chelsea's big trip to Washington, DC, Colin's story about how he got Andre Agassi's autograph, Beverly and Arthur's new home in Florida, etc.
Later in the day (and on Sunday) the kids, Laurie and I played some doubles tennis with Arthur. He's getting ready for a tournament next weekend. Notre Dame crushed Stanford (Bummer for Jim!) and Ohio State took care of Bowling Green so the day was complete.

Ah well, the Cardinal will rise again! But this year they look pretty pathetic! Now if only WVU and OSU can continue their unbeaten ways, there could be an epic National Championship in Phoenix!

I'm still incredibly jealous of Colin's Andre autograph! So cool.
Hate to tell ya, but some wintry like weather is heading your way now. Check out the web cam at Big Sky Resort! A couple of days ago there was snow at the base. Anyway, they've actually mentioned flurries for WV tomorrow now that the system has made its way east.
Our colors are coming on strong here. Hope we don't get a 6" October snow like last yr - broke all kinds of records, and branches off trees by the millions.
