DC Firsts

I wanted to visit several new places today in our nation's capital. These included the Hirshhorn Museum (part of the Smithsonian), the Jefferson Memorial, the Korean War Veteran's Memorial and the FDR Memorial. It was a beautiful 75 degree day under sunny skies so walking was the perfect way to see it all. I think I probably walked 5 or 6 miles around the city by the end of the day. I ended the afternoon by visiting the Phoenix Park Hotel, eating dinner and sipping a pint at the Dubliner pub. Took the metro back to my hotel on the south side of Capitol Hill.
In the first photo, I just liked the clouds over the skyline. The second photo is of the Korean War Veteran's Memorial.
