Takakkaw Falls, Yoho National Park

After a LONG Wimbledon final, we finally were able to hit the road just before noon.  We drove Route 1 west to British Columbia, up and over Kicking Horse Pass, to Yoho National Park.  Our first stop was the highest waterfall in the Canadian Rockies, Takakkaw Falls (254 meters high I believe).  This was a truly spectacular waterfall. We learned that Takakkaw means "It is Magnificent" in the Cree language.  The name is certainly appropriate!!!

A few miles away on the Yoho Valley Road, we stopped to see the impressive Natural Bridge formation with the Kicking Horse River flowing through it.
