Lake Louise

We drove from Banff to Lake Louise after a decent, if slow, lunch at Bruno's.  To enjoy a more leisurely drive to Lake Louise, I decided to take the Bow Valley Parkway, which parallels the high-speed Route 1.

Just a mile or two after getting onto this road, we spotted two black bears crossing the road about 50 yards in front of us.  Unfortunately, the quickly made their way into a dense forest and were gone.

We stopped into various pullouts along the road and enjoyed the never-ending, jaw-dropping mountain views at every turn.  We arrived at Lake Louise Inn, and checked into our 2BR condo for the next 3 days.  From here, we'll explore various parts of Banff and Yoho National Parks during day trips.

The above photograph of Lake Louise was taken after dinner at about 9pm or so (maybe later).  It's staying light here until 10 or later.  Nice.
