Moraine Lake

On today's agenda was a visit to one of my favorite locations in the Canadian Rockies -- Moraine Lake.  It was a cloudy morning but the mountains were visible and Colin and I were hopeful that the atmospheric haze would be good for photography.

It started sprinkling as we drove up the access road but thankfully the hard rain held off until we had finished our hike along the north side of the lake.  It's hard not to take too many photos on this walk.  Every corner reveals a new perspective on the mountain scene.  Colin spent some time trying new techniques with his tripod.  He got some gems too.  As for me, well I'm loving this new camera.  I have a lot to learn but this purchase is already paying dividends.
