Moonlight Powder Day

It just doesn't want to stop snowing here in Big Sky Country! We woke on the 26th to about 7 inches of new snow. Today, we skied at Moonlight Basin for a change of pace and it turned out to be a good call. It was typically uncrowded and we skied some deep powder today - much more than the 7 inches they reported overnight.

The helmet cam gets a workout...

Unfortunately I did not have the helmet cam recording when I double-ejected and face planted into 3 feet of deep powder! My heel bindings seem to be set a bit low as this was the second time this has happened on the trip. I think the camera survived the crash but, to be safe, I removed it from my helmet after that wipeout.

It was another very cold day and the powder was very light. At the end of the day, we all met up at the Moonlight Basin Lodge for an apres-ski drink in front of the monstrous fireplaces. The perfect ending to a very good day on the slopes...
