Christmas Comes Early

To skiers, new equipment is just about the best present imagineable. And I don't think I'm the only skiing nut who has tried on new boots and skis in his living room, dreaming of eventually putting them on snow. The snickers from the kids and the rolling of the eyes from Laurie did NOT dissuade me from performing this age-old rite.

Here's a close-up of the new boots that I hope will perform well without leaving my feet in agony at the end of the day.

Now, it's on to Big Sky to give 'em a try...
