Buckeyes 45 Wildcats 10
Grandpa, Jim, Colin, Chelsea and I visited Northwestern's Ryan Field on November 8th to see the Ohio State Buckeyes play the Wildcats who are having a great season; both teams had a 7-2 record going into this game.
Well the cream rose to the top on Saturday and the Buckeyes played solidly throughout. The offense caught fire and the quarterback, Tyrell Pryor, showed why he was the most highly recruited high school football player last year. As a true freshman, this kid put on an amazing show running and passing the ball. (Note: The starting QB and RB for Northwestern were injured and did not play. There is no doubt that this hurt the Wildcats' chances of winning this game.)
The game was fun to watch - at least for Buckeyes fans...

The view from our seats
As you can see from the photograph below, many Ohio State fanatics made it to this football game. It really looked like there were nearly equal numbers of Wildcat and Buckeye fans in the stands. The end zone was dominated by the Buckeye faithful.

It was a chilly game with wind and drizzle but we had dressed for it so the discomfort was manageable. The traffic leaving the football stadium and getting out of Evanston was tough. Two hours later we managed to make it home.
