Wildlife Extravaganza!!!

Within seconds of pushing off the shoreline we saw a baby crocodile on the shore. The crocs are at the top of the food chain here and we saw many of them. BUT, the astounding wildlife here was the birdlife!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So many of the species we saw here are new to me so that made it seem more astounding than maybe it really is. Within any given minute though on this leisurely boat ride we would see several different species of birds. Here are a few shots from the ride:

A Large Male Croc Flaunts His Teeth

The most exciting moment of the trip came immediately after I took the above photo. As we were watching this crocodile on the shoreline (the biggest we had seen so far), another male croc who was even bigger, came out of the water and began to fight this one. A woman on our boat screamed at the surprise attack and it seemed to startle the crocs so that they stopped fighting. We probably would have seen a bigger fight had this not occurred. Oh well. It was quite the scene!
