More from Day 1 at Alta

Late Afternoon View Across the Street from Alta

Kev's Boot

In Goldminer's Daughter, while sipping on a much-deserved Cutthroat Pale Ale, I was resting my legs and took this photo of my backlit see-through boot shell.

After a relaxing apres-ski, we drove down Little Cottonwood Canyon to our fantastic 2BR rental unit. The unit was actually the lower, walkout floor of a beautiful home nestled in the woods in the neighborhood directly at the mouth of the canyon. This was the PERFECT location and the place was really nicely decorated. If (er, when) we come back for a Utah ski trip, we will definitely try to stay here again.

After unpacking, we headed into Sandy for dinner at the Porcupine Pub and Grille. The place was hopping on this Friday night and the food was very good. At this point, we were very tired and picked up a few groceries before meeting Jeff at the house.

Time to get some sleep before Day 2. Little did we know what was in store for us tomorrow...
