January 10th - First Day After Leaving Vermont (Homeless)

Well, we survived the first day of travel westward to Chicago. We left Plattsburgh this morning at about 9:30am and arrived in Erie, PA at 6:15pm. Traveling with two cats in a car for nine hours was, um, actually not bad!! The cats were mellow from the drugs but they were happy to snuggle in the kids' laps off and on throughout the whole trip.

It's strange to think that we have left our Vermont home, the home we loved so much. It was hard to leave that spot after spending the past 13 years there. At the same time, we are looking forward to new adventures and learning about a new location. It's a bit confusing to be a bit sad and yet excited about the possibilities to come but change, as difficult as it might be, can be a good thing.

More updates from Arlington Heights TOMORROW!!!

Well homeless ones. I assume you are homeless no more! But you must not have internet, phone, etc. hooked up in Arlington Heights. Or perhaps you just have other things to do. I can't imagine what.

Anyway, thanks for the Xmas pics, and give us a call when you have a phone # and news to report.

Cheers! - The Morgantown McGraws...

PS - according to Google maps you are 550 miles and 9 hrs away from us - a bit closer than hinesburg, so we'll be expecting to see you ALOT more often :)
