Day 2 - Discovery of The Keyhole

Dan (and others) recommended a trip to The Keyhole and told us how to get there and how to get back to Alta. This run spills off the steep backside of Alta toward Snowbird. We have looked at this tree skiing for years but did not know how to bag it. And what a discovery this was for us. To me, it's some of the best terrain I've ever skied. It is steep with trees to hold the snow but open enough to link turn after turn after turn.

At the end of each run through The Keyhole, you end up at the road near some condos and pick up the free Alta shuttle bus back to the Collins base area. Although this run can take some time, the reward is huge...and the views aren't too shabby either!!
