Maybe it was fate...

Somehow we ended up at the Old Chicago Grill after just hearing that our house had officially been purchased in Vermont. It has been a crazy few days with all the paperwork, logistics, decisions, bureaucracy, offers and counter-offers, especially when Laurie and I are not together to get these things done. Luckily technology has saved the day - cell phones, laptops, emails, new printer/scanner/copier/fax for the condo, and a fax machine at the River Rock Lodge have allowed us to pull off the purchase of one home and the sale of another.

Of course, it's not over but we are breathing a tad easier. Yesterday, we spent the afternoon and early evening in Bozeman Christmas shopping and getting supplies to make the firewood rack and a cover for the hot tub cover. I met with the Yellowstone Park Foundation about how Laurie and I can possibly get on the Advisory Council and contribute in a more meaningful way to this great non-profit organization. We'll see what happens there but it was a good start. (Note: This year we sponsored a wolf collar to help the park monitor and research the wolf populations within the park! Very exciting!)

After returning to the condo, Jim and I built the firewood rack in the garage. Step 1 done. We'll tackle the hot tub cover today.

Off to the slopes now where they received 7 fresh inches of snow and it's uh, quite cold -13 degrees F! OUCH.
