Napali Coast Hike
Today was an adventure day. We drove from the south shore to the north shore after breakfast, about an hour and a half drive. The focus of the day was to walk the Napali coast trail. It was a fairly rigorous hike up and down and up and down. The entire trail is 11 miles long one way but we only did two miles each way. Nonetheless, we did enough to get spectacular views of the famed coastline. I would like to kayak there some day but that is apparently more of a summertime activity. The north coast is wild and windy in the winter months.
Most of my good photographs are on my computer so I will add those later but here are a few I took with my iPhone.

After the good, solid hike we were quite hungry and grabbed a late lunch at Kalypso, a neat little eatery in Hanalei. I've been enjoying the fish tacos here the past couple days in Hawaii. Laurie enjoyed a Fish Burger (not fried) and she said it was delicious.
On the drive back to the Grand Hyatt, we hit the infamous Kauai traffic. Not really all that bad when you're on island time.
