Last Day Photos

We said goodbye to Park Place Inn, the perfect hotel for our 4-day stay in Jasper.  The Ford Escape in the photo was our ride for the trip.  Note the very cool Park Place Inn tree sign just to the left and above the car.  If I'm in Jasper again, and I'm not camping, this will be the first place I look to stay!!

To get to the Angel Glacier hike at the base of Mt. Edith Cavell, you have to drive a 7+ mile winding and bumpy road.  I felt bad for our back seat passengers but tried to drive smoothly so that their stomachs would not revolt.  At one point along the drive, you come to this spectacular view of the Canadian Rockies.  Wow.

Here are our first glimpses of the mountain on the approach.  Do mountains get much more spectacular than this?

Here are a couple shots of the snow waterfalls cascading down the steep face of the mountain just above the iceberg lake.
