July 22 - Rainbow over Big Sky

For several days we had thunderstorms in the late afternoon. These systems often had unusual cloud formations associated with them, providing for great sunsets almost every day.

Today we were treated to a full double-rainbow over the Big Sky Meadow Village. I tried to do a panorama by stitching four photos together. Unfortunately, it was hard to stitch them and the seams are apparent here and there. Oh well, if you click on the photo you can get an idea of how impressive this rainbow was. I think ROY G. BIV was entirely present!

The rainbow was visible for a surprisingly long period of time and the clouds toward Lone Peak were great too.
