The Final Day of Yellowstone Photo Tour

For our last day, where do you think we went? Lamar Valley of course!

On the drive across the northern part of the park we stopped to try a photo of backlit mist emanating from the Blacktail ponds.

As we entered Lamar Valley, Tom saw a nice opportunity for shooting into the sun again with nice ridges of mountains to the east and northeast. Colin managed a nice shot here but I focused on the flowers and small mammals.

Prairie Smoke Macro

I watched these cartoon characters for 10 minutes or so. They seemed more than willing to pose on this rock for me so I obliged.

We then stopped at Slough Creek to look for wolves but there were none to be seen this morning I'm afraid. So, it was on to the upper Lamar.
