Chicago Cubs vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

Beverly and Arthur visited us on the weekend of May 10th. As a special treat, Laurie bought Cubs tickets for all six of us. The historic Wrigley Field is a special place to bring visitors, especially if they are sports fans.

Beverly and Arthur Enjoying the Cubs Game

It was a cool day but we were spared rain so we couldn't complain. Colin and Chelsea enjoyed the game more than expected. They are not big fans of baseball. Nor are Laurie and I. But there is a lot to experience at these baseball games and it is far more enjoyable than watching a game on TV. And, the home team pulled out a good win as they crushed the visiting Diamondbacks, 7-2.

Chelsea Endures the Game (and an annoying cold too)

After the game, we headed into downtown Chicago for a quick visit to the Hancock Tower. On the 96th floor of the building, there is a nice lounge for a drink, quick bite and jaw-dropping views. We managed to get a window table for the six of us and spent 1.5 hours or so enjoying the view. Despite the overcast skies, it was a GREAT place to visit with superb 360 degree views of this amazing city. I still have not been to the top of the Sears Tower but I don't see how it can top this experience.

I would love to be here for a spectacular sunset sometime. We will definitely be back...
