Art in Paris
After relatively painless flights to Paris, we took the train from Charles de Gaulle into the city. We were able to check into our hotel on the Left Bank and proceeded to nap for a couple hours.
After that we hit the town visiting super hip art galleries with local artwork. We had visited this part of Paris before but there is always more to see. Yes, Dad, this was very near Rue St Andre des Arts!!
It seems like there is interesting artwork everywhere you look. We met the artist who did these colorful THICK paintings.
Then we walked a little further and saw an art opening with free bottles of Grolsch beer and had to step inside for a look. It was artwork of (not by) musicians from Marilyn Manson to Madonna to Elvis Costello. Wild stuff.
More than anything it was just fun to hang like a local.
