Alta Nirvana
The canyons have received 30+" in the past two days. We always dream of timing our ski trips this well but this is crazy. These types of days are promoted in ski magazines all the time and frankly I always wonder if they really do occur. Sure I've had my share of good, even great ski days but this was beyond special. From all reports by locals, this was the day of the year to be at Alta.
We were on the 10th chair on the Wildcat Lift. This is what it looked like on the first ride up at 9:20am or so:
This is what it looked like coming down:

After one epic run we had to endure an hour + power outage and were perplexed as to what to do. We bounced back and forth between Collins lift line and Wildcat lift line four times. Most people weren't so patient and left for the other side of the ski area where it was rumored that some lifts were running. Since we had just had the run of our lives, we knew that waiting it out near Wildcat was a good idea.

skyYou'll owe the karmic force for this one bro!
Seriously, that's fantastic. Enjoy another one today. We're having an unexpected dumpage last night and today here as well. If my back holds out (it's in bad pain), it will be a great final day at Big Sky...
Ignore the 'sky'; I have no idea how that got there...could be my not wearing glasses right now
